Previously I lived in Sweden for nearly 20 years and my quest there was to hybridize auriculas to produce ever better plants suitable for the harsh Swedish climate. Whilst living there I also created and run Sweden’s Auricula Club. I've now returned to England to continue growing auriculas together with my daughter-in-law, Iris. Iris is also an enthusiastic & skilful Iris grower; many of her wonderful Irises can be seen on this blog.

VIKTOR is a fancy.
VIKTOR minus 4C 2 April 2012
VIKTOR is a fancy Auricula which came from an Osbourne Green cross, he has just been planted into his clay display pot ready for the Nordic Garden show. The sheen on his pot is in fact ice, he was frozen solid last night, it went down to minus 4°Cin my unheated conservatory, but the cold does not bother these hardy Swedish raised plants, even when they are in bloom.
