Previously I lived in Sweden for nearly 20 years and my quest there was to hybridize auriculas to produce ever better plants suitable for the harsh Swedish climate. Whilst living there I also created and run Sweden’s Auricula Club. I've now returned to England to continue growing auriculas together with my daughter-in-law, Iris. Iris is also an enthusiastic & skilful Iris grower; many of her wonderful Irises can be seen on this blog.

A few more auriculas planted out.
Some Minleys in one of the east borders.
Over the last few weeks I’ve planted out more
than 150 auriculas into my borders, so I know have well over 300 auriculas
planted outside in various borders. They are mostly in the east garden as this receives
the early morning sun, but is in shadow just before midday, it also remains dry
during the winter. The auriculas I planted out this time include Minley,
Osbourne Green, Old Irish Green, Fiddlers Green and many mixed borders.
