It was minus 2°C last night with a heavy frost; this will be the last picture of seedling No. 29 for this year as it is now getting too cold for the buds to open any more.
The two BRITT-MARIE divisions were exposed to the frost in one of my open cold frames and they do not seem too worried about it.  BRITT-MARIE is particularly hardy semi double border I have crossed. I keep my frames open until the first snows come or if the day temperature gets really cold, it’s more important that they are kept on the dry side & well ventilated. I do of course shut the lids when it rains.
